Vicki Harris of our fraud detection team finds
it “gratifying to dig in and be a part of something
that makes life better for others.” Perhaps that’s
why she was recently honored by our parent company with the
Henry W. Bloch National Award for Outstanding Community Service.
She flew to Kansas City late last year to receive the award
recognizing her 11 years of service to her local Exchange
Club and its charitable foundation, which supports programs
aimed at preventing child abuse.
Vicki is also active in her community through
our Lending Hands program and is just one shining example
of the generosity of associates companywide.
At Option One and HRBMC, we are fortunate to
have a company that empowers associates to get involved in
their communities. One key way the company does this is through
its Charities of Choice program, which can help you support
causes that are important to you but may not be affiliated
with one of our Lending Hands partner organizations.
Last fiscal year, more than 500 associates participated
in nearly 60 activities ranging from fundraisers to team-building
events. For example, associates Alex Ruiz and Shannon Tiegs
coordinated the participation of more than 25 associates in
an American Heart Association fundraising walk in Irvine,
Calif. In addition, Servicing’s Crystal Matthews coordinated
a Save the Children fundraiser in Jacksonville, and Hartford
Indirect branch associates participated in a fundraiser for
St. Jude’s Children's Hospital.
Imagine the difference you can make, then make
it your new year’s resolution to get involved. |
